Beat Poet wrote:I think it's a good album, not their best by any means, but there aren't many bands of 50 who sound as young and energetic as they do. They sounded very tired and worn out on SA, I doubt if it could have even been whittled down to an acceptable single album. I gave them a miss on that tour after seeing them on By The Way, but I saw them a few weeks ago on this tour and they were fantastic.
Whereabouts did you see them?

Well, I thought the album was half decent. The new guitarist can definitely bring it on a few of the tracks.. i think its "goodbye hooray" that I'm thinking of. Also thought "Brendan's Death Song" was a goodun.

The second night at the NEC in Birmingham. I knew it was a big place but didn't know it was that big, the floor area was gargantuan. RHCP are still massive!

Great news. Frusciante is back in the fold. Welcome back Frush.

I was just showing my kids the SNL performance where Frusciante deliberately wrecks Under the Bridge in front of millions of people.

It's hilarious when you know what's going on.

Those guys sure have some history!
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

This was me too, wore out mothers milk but by a happy coincidence my local record store didn't have rust in peace on the day I went to buy it so picked up BSSM instead, put the tape into the player in the car and was BLOWN AWAY!!! Wow.
