Judas Priest - rocka rolla. Couple of OK tracks, but not much like classic priest. The band has disowned it due to some contractual shenanigans where the record company gets ALL the money from it.

Wheedle - First Day of Trading.

I'm a big fan of the Illusion albums, but they're so much more produced its hard to compare them to Appetite. I tend to treat them as a trilogy and ignore the other stuff.Vince wrote:twistedthoughts wrote:I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a bad album. It's still good, but they only got better - whereas GnR arguably peaked with AFD.Vince wrote:D'you think so? I mean, yeah.... it was rather patchy. But it had Khe Sanh on it. And it had that long jazzy thing on it, which hinted that they were more than another hard rock pub band. I guess it never occurred to me it was a bad album... I must have another listen to it.
Oh! Yeah, sure. Agreed.

And started selling olive oil? I refuse to buy it, not just because I dislike him so much, but also I keep getting the mental picture that it's not actually made from pressed olives, they just wring out his clothes at the end of each day, the horrible, oily little twat that he is...Capt. Pantera... well anything pre CFH, I think they did about 4 hairspray albums.... ummm most are already mentioned.
Most bands I listen to start off kick ass then just lump out like a pile of poo.

agree with the priest call...also the pantera one. Ironically I think sonically their first album with phil (power metal) is their best album. Dimebag actually has a really good 80's tone on that.
I was gonna say bon jovi - self titled mainly because I have only heard of runaway from it...but I have just listen to bits of it on utube and it sounds really good
also carcass - Reek of Putrefaction.....mind you any band that can do an album that has no songs that even get close to being 3mins long gets my respect
also gotta say dokken - breaking the chains.......never could get into that album

I'd agree with that, however, they remained bad.Sicklehut wrote:Velvet Revolver...
I am a huuuuge Slash fan, but Contraband was 90% filler. I also can't stand Scott Weiland's lyrics:
Yeah, OK, bro. We get it. You're falling to pieces. No need to repeat it 50 million times.Scott Weiland wrote:Fall to pieces, I'm falling
