Our Punk release 'Through Her Eyes' (video too)

Post by griff »

Hey guys. My punk band 'Broke' have just released our first single as a 5 piece on Spotify. Have a listen and tell me what ya think..

https://open.spotify.com/track/1gcHarjX ... =copy-link

Gear wise, my guitar sound is panned hard right and recorded through a Headfirst Cali 50watt head through a Torpedo Captor with York IR's
The Left guitar is Hamishs JCM 2000 TSL with a single 57.

All mixed and mastered ourselves

I made a lyric video that I think came out pretty cool if you're more of a visual person..

https://youtu.be/RPIXFl4SiYE

We're going to release a song every couple of weeks until the 5 track EP is out.
If ya like like it, please follow us!

Gigs in Auckland and Hamilton in December, we're bringing two other Taranaki bands, OTTS and Infinity Ritual.
Venom Dolls are joining us on the Hamilton show and we're yet to confirm an Auckland support act.
Cheers!

 Sounds great mate, I like the vocalist too
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

A bit too classy for Punk!
Great high energy stuff Griff, I listened to all your tracks. Your drummer is awesome! I'm on a bit of a 'drummer appreciation' trip at the moment.

Now I'm sorry all over again that I missed that gig of yours a couple of years ago.
Probably not cowshed music :shifty:

What guitar do you use?

Thanks for the kind words Slowy.
The 1st album you listened to was actually just Hamish doing everything. And the drums is actually EZdrummer.. if that's the drumming you're talking about.
This single is 5 of us with real instruments.. warts and all.
Are you coming down over the holidays?

I frequently proclaim my hatred of mechanical drummers. Oh well.

I hope to get down over Xmas but the festive season gigs seem to be piling up. Either way, we should go for a face to face next time I'm there.

Great song, and video Griff.

A nice bar in Stratford...sounds like a song title.

Hey congrats on the single - it's real nice! Great energy and the vocals are a standout. Feeling nostalgic for late 90's melodic emo punk now.

Very cool! You just need a new Tony hawks pro skater to come out so you can be on the soundtrack!
