Simple Minds

I'm really loving Simple Minds' old stuff at the moment. Sanctify in particular... Its almost tempting to go to their show, but stinginess will probably prevail.

There's nothing like cheesy '80s synth and bass sounds to wind up the nostalgia-o-meter.

Yeah, for cheesy 80's bass you can't go past Waterfront. A great band and one well worth revisiting.

Saw a recent pic of Jim Kerr the other day though - the lad be lookin' ragged. :?

He's a Scotsman.... they look ragged as soon as the leave primary school.

I like their new single alot too. Its not often a retread band can still pump out a decent modern song that still sounds like them.

We are playing 'Dont you forget about me' at the moment ... live version of course. It's a great little toe tapper, and not a song you here a band trot out that often.

Easy on the scotsman bashing as well ;)

I wouldn't put it past her, mate. She once tried to get Sid Vicious to marry her so she could get UK residency. Sid Vicious. :?
