New Baby Bass guitar day.
I bought a Baby Strat a few months ago for straight Rhythm work and it is perfect for the job. Now I've bought a big brother for it in the form of a Baby Bass. I've throw away the horrible factory strings and plonked on a set of GHD 3020 flats, which are very nice. It's very light, only 2.85 kg, which I'm hoping will be friendlier to my buggered back. The quality is very good, with a delightful to play neck and great frets. It fits into a standard guitar case, so easy for packing the car boot. First gig will be on Sunday. As I'm a jump right in type of person, I won't even take one of my other full size basses along for backup. Sink or Swim!

Re: NBBGD
Update. Used the Mini for my gig today and it was excellent. Much friendlier on my back. With the good flats on, it sounded just like a real P Bass. Being a shorter neck and since I play all over the neck, I found the movement around the frets to be delightful for me. Particularly noticeable when playing on the first few frets, as the reach was so much nicer. I didn't have any problem with muscle memory moving from a 34" to a 28.6" scale. As always, shorties will not suit everyone, but I really enjoyed it and I think this'll be my go to bass in future.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

My daughter has the nicest Squier Mustang bass. Just a flawless instrument. I've no idea what to play on it but it's a cool wee thing.
