If Jim's fifty-cent piece has been wielded in anger, then expect disproportionate wear patterns.

At this point in time, not a single pick mark on it. Unlike my Greco which now resembles a dartboard

‘02 Standards with 50s neck are the top of the pile for non CS Gibson. They nailed it.

Have to agree with you. Back to getting it right with regards to historic specs, smaller headstock, thinner binding, nicer tops… as you said they nailed it

As cliché as it sounds, probably lands in the '59 camp. Not as fat as a '58 but thicker than a '60's neck, it's nicely somewhere in the middle

Don't forget the re-imagined (thanks Oleg) pickups. Those first gen BB's are the shizz, to my ears.MiniForklift wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 11:34 amHave to agree with you. Well I guess here is the reveal. FWIW I wanted to switch out the bridge to an ABR-1, that arrived yesterday but annoyingly it’s not a simple drop on. So I’ve now had to order a set of posts and thumbwheels
Nothing wrong with the current bridge, the saddles have been swapped out for graphite ones and the intonation is perfect. Anyway here is ‘25’, I named it that to remind me that I bought it in 2025 and I would have been 25 years old when it was made
