DR Z Maz Jnr - Boutique 18w rocker - Exp of interest sought

Post by sambrowne »

I may well be selling a Dr Z Maz Jnr in the near future as a part trade on my Roadking and wondered if anyone would be interested in buying. Since I don't yet have it in my possession it's not "for sale" just yet (and hence not on the auction site - but it WILL BE when I get it, BG, I promise!)

It's a mean little head, capable of delicious boutique EL84 tones from non-pristine clean up to ripping tube overdrive where every note shines through. It takes pedals very well (loves a Fulltone Fulldrive) though would probably ideally suit the volume knob riding player best as a plug and play solution. Tonally it's ACDCesque so I guess you could say vintage Marshall (taking into account it's 18w, not 100w).

I think this video showcases its tone very well:

This is the video of the non-reverb model but the one I am selling has the additional reverb. In theory this makes the amp less aggressive but trust me, I like my amps screaming and this thing did the business.

Reason I will be selling is my guitarist needs a louder amp than this to match the crushing power of my 65amps Marquee 35w rig, but if I was looking for a great amp for rehearsal, reasonable home volume and playing pubs with a 57 in front of it, this would be it.

It looks exactly like this, and is 100% mint.

It comes with a $550 roadcase by Janal. http://www.cases.tv/

I'll be looking for $2200 for the head and roadcase. This amp is what many players are seeking - a tube amp that is loud enough for almost all applications and yet quiet enough to rock at home. PM me if interested.
