Nice compact board. You can get rubber feet from Par Rubber. Only one I know about in Aucks in on the shore in Wiarau Valley.benderissimo wrote:New board (ply) and a couple of new pedals. This is as big as I want my board to be. I love the DLS and La Vache and the Pikelet (hotcake) makes a great boost but I might shunt one in favour of a little delay I've got stashed away.
The Chi-Wah-Wah sounds cool but the way the action works means I really need to non-slipify the board. I want to find some rubber feet that are attached using screws rather than adhesive.

Re: Show us your pedalboard
Ed - yeah the Liverpool is finally there. There are some songs that just need that Vox chime on the edge of breaking up sound and the Liverpool nails it perfectly. Very happy with it.
As for the McPherson Solar Fuzz, I couldn't resist it - I'm a bit of a fiend with gadgets and new tech. I've struggled to find a nice fuzz pedal in the past - Zvex Fuzz Factory too wild and hard to control, 7 Sisters Ruby fuzz too harsh and brittle - but 3rd time lucky. This is warm and smooth and just what I want in a fuzz. The tone is really a treble cut and I find it helps taking a lot of the treble out, especially on my Fender Blues Deluxe which is quite bright.
I went and picked it up and had a good chat to Waylon McPherson about the solar power thing. He said 2 years ago it wouldn't have been possible, but the technology is improving all the time. The solar cells are quite low powered which is fine for a fuzz pedal which doesn't take much power to drive, but for any more demanding pedals the solar cells to fit a standard pedal size currently won't give enough grunt. The spec figures he quotes in the trademe auction are very conservative. Based on the figures he was talking, I think I'll only need to put it in the sun for a charge about once every 18 months!
I also reminded Waylon about this place and told him there was a gearfest coming up. He might come along with some of his pedals. He's also got a really nice English built PRS style guitar with an incredible curly maple cap on it that's about 1/3 the thickness of the guitar body. Very tasty indeed.
