Yep, he just couldn't believe the thickness of the maple cap. He keeps wanting me to build a guitar with Wenge or Bubinga that he has a few special pieces put aside for. Hehe... they can, they just can't be bother selecting it out. My best piece of flame maple came from their previous premises and was dumped in the corner marked "not up to standard" in chalk. A pretty piece of flame maple like that won't go through the thicknesser nicely and blend in with all the other boring pieces.
