NGD: Fender Road Worn Players Tele

Post by SimpleSi »

Finally sold my Jem of 10 years...

Used part of the funds to buy a Fender Road Worn Players Telecaster.

Big ups to NZRS Matt for giving me a flippin' sweet deal..

Plus the lads at the local RS for giving me a even better deal on hard case + new strings and strap etc...

Paid less than full retail for the whole lot..

Without further babble..

Specs.

SD 59' in the neck
Tex-Mex single bridge

1 piece maple Neck
Alder body..

VERY relic'd but not as much as the original Road Worn series..

Fender details here: Link

Pictures Here: Link
They're too large to post here..

Super awesome! I'd be tempted to rewire it like a broadcaster, ala Keith Richards :)
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Looks cool. The relic'ing on these and the new run of Road Worns is much more tasteful than the original Road Worns, I think.

Needs more vintage bridge/tuners, though.

I prefer the more modern 6 saddles

Easier for intonation.

I changed from stock 9s to 10s I use and had to fix intonation.
