I picked this puppy up off Trade me in pretty worn out condition.
Overall a great easy little project thats got an unloved guitar playable again. Anyone want to by a set of LW CSIs?
At some stage it had been someones pride and joy because the neck is nicely played in and it had been fitted with a set of Seymour Duncan LW CSI active pickups. The bridge saddles were looking pretty munted and one of them had been replaced with a 70's style strat saddle.
This is how she looks now. I replaced the saddles for some older Fender ones I had lying around. As part of a trade I done a while back I got a pre wired guard with Fender Custom Shop 69 Abigail Ybarra pickups. It's got the 'Gilmour' mod which allows you to play the neck and bridge pickups together with the flick of a little switch. I need to get a a new high E tuner for it (the shaft on the existing one is a bit stuffed) hence why it's only got 5 strings in the photos.
The neck on this guitar is incredible. I'm not normally a maple neck kind of guy but after the Esquire i've just done and this i'm starting to turn around. The pickups sound great too. Vintage but a bit more raw sounding.Fernandes RST50
