Radian guitars are $1300 plus pickups/options. The baritone option adds $130.

Cool! I like it.slowfingers wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTj2opXP ... re=related
Audio only of a blistering baritone instrumental. Y'all better wear ya Stetsons!
And now that I think of it, played on a telecaster baritone just like Ash's

Re: Ash Customworks stuff 2011
First one of many out the door in December: yet another Radian Tele!
I don't know why it is, by teles are by far the most popular Radians. I should count them up, but I reckon there are more Radian Teles than all others put together!
This one is very similar to one from earlier in the year, but with a different neck pickup.
Korina body
Maple vintage/modern neck (10" radius and tall/medium frets)
Open-grain matte lacquer finish
Wilkinson bridge
Graphtech nut
DiMario PAF and Area Hot-T pickups

Re: Ash Customworks stuff 2011
Silly question, but I've noticed that on a lot of your Radian builds you use the oval shaped jack plates that screw to the body rather than something like an electrosocket which is, in my opinion, neater and nicer looking. Is there any functional reason for that, or is it simply cost and the customer preference?

This Tele sounds even better than it looks
It sounds great with no electricity, but then when you plug it in, it comes alive. These Dimarzio pickups are worth every penny!

that is stunning....there certainly does appear to be a lot more tele love around here than a couple of years ago....but lets face it if you are a guitarist and haven't own some sort of tele then something is very wrong with youash wrote:I don't know why it is, by teles are by far the most popular Radians. Re: Ash Customworks stuff 2011
The Korinacaster has what I assume is an electrosocket; circular fitting recessed into the body. I wouldn't use one again. It's held in with two small angled screws. Not yet a problem, but weaker than the plate. The real issue is that being recessed, you can't use a right angled jack; it won't fully go in. I prefer to use angled jacks as it feeds the lead neatly under the guitar strap.OpenCoil wrote:Silly question, but I've noticed that on a lot of your Radian builds you use the oval shaped jack plates that screw to the body rather than something like an electrosocket which is, in my opinion, neater and nicer looking. If the mounting screws ever work loose, I'll replace it with a plate.

Re: Ash Customworks stuff 2011
A few reasons... Electrosockets cost many times more, they don't match chrome hardware, if the socket comes loose you have to take the whole thing out with some risk of harm to paint, not always compatible with angles jacks and they require a flat-spot of the perimeter of the body, which I hate.OpenCoil wrote:Silly question, but I've noticed that on a lot of your Radian builds you use the oval shaped jack plates that screw to the body rather than something like an electrosocket which is, in my opinion, neater and nicer looking. I like electrosockets if they are recessed, but if not I don't think they are that much tidier as they stick out more than a shaped oval jackplate and still have two visible screws. The baritone is the only one I've used an electrosocket on and only because it has the horrible flat-spot on the body.

They vary between light and medium-heavy as teles go. That one is about 3.7kg (8.3lb), which is towards the heavier end of the range.Zaulkin wrote:Man I love those Korina Teles... How heavy are they?
