I'd like an OD/Dist, wah and a reverb... but the only thing I'm GASing real hard for is a Pigtronix Mothership.

While I have a couple of pedals that aren't OD or distortion, I really hardly use them ;-)

What I use an awful lot are my AMT Fatal Tube and California Sound, and my ProCo Rat2. The AMT pedals sound surprisingly good recorded dry, direct into my computer, but also work beautifully with impulse responses of various cabinets. I honestly have no idea what they sound like into an amp ...

The Rat is great - specially into impulse responses of a Fender Bassman 8)

Also have Digitech Bad Monkey, Boss GE-7 and Boss CE-5 - oh, and a Zoom 505 ... just about forgot that. - And the Ibanez Time Machine somewhere in the storeroom.

Would love: 'Umble' and 'Thor' from runoffgroove.com 8)

having had a borrow of one, the mothership is incredible. For a lot of the same capability for muuuuch cheaper check out the Digitech Synth wah. Combine with a phaser/flanger and a trem and you'll cover much of the FM4's ground, too.

My favourite pedal is my MXR 10 band EQ, I like it so much that I don't like playing a tube amp without it. It adds some real sweet colour to the tone and boosts quite nicely too. I hope Fix-it-Phil at the RS fixes it soon.
My MXR Fanger is absolutely lovely but I havn't used it much yet.
My basic old Dunlop Original Wah is nice too. Way nicer than the Zakk Wylde wah I had, although it does suck some tone when off. I read a buffer in the beginning of the chain can fix that, rather than doing the TB mod, which would not be good, because I wouldn't want to change the wah's tone at all because it's surprisingly nice in stock form, really smooth and subtle with sweet tone.
The Modtone Pedal Plant is great too.
I'm looking forward to getting the Wampler Pinnacle 2 RI I've ordered, it should be really nice.

My MXR script logo phaser has not given me the phase sound I like yet. I might try running it before the distortion to hopefully get more Eruption and Bark At The Moon style whoosh happening, or I'll have to find something else.

Pedals I didn't like?
I don't like analog delay into a dirty amp. I gassed for a nice analog delay for ages, but when I got one, it sounded terrible through my very crunchy amp. I now add all reverb and delays post using the load box, it sounds much better that way.
I didn't like my vintage MXR Dist+ very much for what I play. The diodes may have been getting a bit crusty because it sounded like muddy, grungy fuzz and when maxed out it squealed like a pig.
I didn't like the Zakk Wydle OD much either. It had a high quality sound, but was quite bland really.
The Catalinbread Supercharged Overdrive disapointed me because it sounded brilliant demo'ed online through clean Fender amps, but it was way over the top through Marshall and I couldn't get it do do any thing else but full-on in ya face mid rangey grind. Would be great with the right amp though.
GT-10 and X3 live both were horrible for me run direct to DAW, yet a regular POD X3 sounds great, I dunno.

This is my experience. Have tried both, prefer the buffer method.

Once I get back from Aussie I wanna make a few pedals, Dr Boogey, a Tremelo, some kind of delay madness, maybe a reverb / octave type pedal as well \m/
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Hey HotGrits, the Tonebender clone sounds awesome. Give us a review, eh?

Ironically, my favourite pedal has been my Boss TU2. Had it something like six years, never any problems. It's the one that never leaves the board.

Next would be my 70's Ibanez Phase Tone, which is basically an MXR Phase 90 style pedal with one speed knob and an internal trim pot for depth. Currently on loan to Darkness as I have been using a multi FX unit for the past 18 months.

I'm not so big on pedals these days; a full unit with all the stuff in it works good for me. However, I always get tempted by the odd box on TM, stuff like older Rats, Muffs, vintage Ibanez and the odd random thing.

That detuning pedal thingy that BC posted about is one pedal that got my attention and made me think, I want that pedal.

I'm gassing for a Whammy or other octave up pedal, and a crunchier OD. I really love my Eventide Timefactor and my Barber LTD - great pedals.

Also need a Verbzilla and a Pedal Power for my acoustic rig.

Yeah, I've been vaguely GASing for a Whammy lately.

The POG2 still calls to me though...
