How do you find your tuner? I had one and it was really noisey and clicked when the LED blinked, I don't know if they all do or if it was just my one.... haha. Cool setup tho man!

haha yes sweet fuck all. That '64 (i think) AC30 with LP youtube vid someone posted the other week was gorgeous, beautiful tone.
Still wish Id sold my Fender head over my Vox AC50 head, but no-one wants an 80s Fender head haha. Might rip it apart and convert it into something Voxy or tweedy when it gets here.

What model is that blue one? Or is it just a recovered AC30

It is a cheap tuner, but I use it as a complete mute - The delay comes after it in the chain, so if I hit the tuner the delay keeps going. 8)
It's staying on the board cuz my old man gave it to me. It sort of (onomatopoeia time) bb-b's at me when it blinks, if I'm on the amp's drive channel. It's pretty quiet otherwise, doesn't really interfere with anything. I doubt a buffered one would click.

Dump EL84's in it (unless it's a higher wattage) or even turn it into a kt88 monster? That'd be cool.
The blue 30 is the same on the inside as the standard black greenback-filled AC30. They decided to make 200 in blue, so I dived on it.
Ticks all the boxes I need it to, and it looks cool. :)

Ah well was a bit of a pipe dream anyway....now that it's sold I can go back to sleeping at night instead of scheming. I assume it's amazing?

It certainly isn't the Scott Gorham grade Lester I was GASing for... But I have a feeling after I'm past the honeymoon stage (breaking in stage?) it'll really start to shine.

It was thrilling to play at band yesterday. Neck dive isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it is still there.

Seems to really like the AC30.

TL;DR
9/10

So both guitarists in your band use AC-30s? does that work? seems weird to have two guys with the same amp.

Yes we do.
Our other guitarist (I am one of them) has some awful solid state Fender thing that we've decided to use as a mic amp - it just couldn't keep up with my AC30, so I went and bought another one for him to use.

I think it sounds fantastic having the same amps, but different guitars and effects running into them. It also solves volume issues.
The only thing nearly worth mentioning is that he doesn't have a compressor running in the effects loop (or at all) of his 30.

Single Coil, welcome and thanks for sharing your gear.

Nice choices there - pretty a setup to cover everything!

The AC30 looks very sweet...and I'm a big fan of white SG's - looks great.

You've motivated me to take some shots of the JMI and AC in Easter...

I feel like a complete dick for missing the gag. I know who Kim Dotcom is though. Got my dumb shoes on today.

I do have a couple single coil guitars. However, single coil was the first thing that came to mind that wasn't offensive, so I went with it.

All good. Yeah nah Fenders and Marshalls were well outta the range, and everyone has them... Not that no one has a Vox, but when I was buying my first proper valve amp (AC15), it was in the right price bracket, and somehow it just worked for me, so I've gone one up to the 30.
The only thing I don't reeeeally have is a high gain distortion pedal, so there is no ripping off Paul Allender for me.

I had to google JMI - I think we'd all enjoy pictures of them.
