That loks awesome ! Do you know what the model number is ? I'm seriously considering a Tokai Tele too, there is a nice looking one on TardMe being sold by Dave, who supplied my Tokai Les Paul.

Re: NGD - Tokai Tele
Yeah, that's the whole game right there. When I bought my tele I played everything i could find. And the one that worked for me was a model I never even gave a thought about.badmotor wrote:K'Rd store.slowfingers wrote:That is a very good looking Tele. Far too pretty to be a Fender
My first Tele was a Jap Tokai. Still a big fan. Where did you get it?
Big thing for me was physically trying st5ff out, and not buying over the internet. Every guitar was so completely different.
That tele looks fantastic. Welcome to a new world.

oh noes fenda killah alert!!!
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
Re: NGD - Tokai Tele
Frets are vintage small... I don't even know what the radius is, and it's hard to find specs. 9.5"? It's got a bit of curve to it. I like whatever it is.OpenCoil wrote:What's the fingerboard radius and fret size on these Tokais? Looks quite vintagey.

Re: NGD - Tokai Tele
My Tokai Tele was a late 70's one. I replaced its pickups with a new set of Duncan Alnicos and honestly couldn't hear any difference. I have a couple in my parts box and they're keepers.Rhettsauce wrote:BTW...Are the Tokai pickups decent?
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
