It gets lost in all the bling but the red one is something special. It took me 20 seconds to fall in love with it.

I remember that guitar well. It was in stock for a LONG time back when I used to work in our stores. It was freakin incredible.slowfingers wrote:It gets lost in all the bling but the red one is something special. It took me 20 seconds to fall in love with it.
I also remember that Grey-Black Santana III as well, though I don't remember that one being AS special.

Yeah, I didn't think the Santana body was all that much different until I got them all lined up together. It certainly weighs a bit more, and is somewhat unbalanced to play sitting down.sidewinder wrote:That's amazing, wow.
Never realised the Santana was so much wider than the regular PRS shape.
How does the 408 compared sound wise to the standards?
I really like the 408 pickups. In humbucker mode they're not hugely different, but when you switch to single coil the extra windings kick in to boost the volume so there's no drop off like normal coil-tapping. And they sound really good as single coils.

A few still. There's a couple I won't sell for sentimental reasons, but a couple that might be on the block.benderissimo wrote:Holy f*ck!

It's a 1998 that one. And Slowie, you know there never was any chance of you prising it away from me!robnobcorncob wrote:That guitar was on the wall at the Welly RS for years and yeeeeeeears.NZRS_Matt wrote:I remember that guitar well. You know, PRS's are not quite my cup of beer but looking at that family photo has me gassing a bit for one! Nice work Conway!Conway wrote:Family photo (not the best, but hard to get a decent shot with all the shiny tops):
