Personally I like with, it just seems to complete a Les Paul, but thats what I grew up seeing too which I guess colours your thinking...
How can I be sure I'm here?

I often prefer without, but in this case I think you're right to go with.

Re: HNLP&MD
Pickguards on LPs always feel like they're sitting too close to the strings, at least in my hands. Like the look of them, though, especially with a more traditional burst.

I went with a top wrap when doing my clean, oil, restring routine tonight. Doesn't look great but I don't like the string angle breaking off the back of the bridge before it reaches the saddle.

Perfectly disguised, saves her from hanging your baubles on it...Molly wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2024 6:23 am Chap locally was selling-up as he's heading away. On impulse I bought his LP Traditional and half-stack. All minty. He chucked in a Cry Baby and a nice Epiphone acoustic too. Mrs is home from work in an hour. I've decorated the amp so it blends-in.

Happy new another Marshall day... Not worth starting a thread for.
So, this. 100w Anniversary reissue. Minty. Weighs substantially more than the DSL. Could that be down yo no more than MDF versus ply cabinets? Won't attempt to justify it. Always loved a Guitarist demo where Mick puts his Strat through one. Just neeeed a matching cab.

Bugger. Forget how to do that but...

Re: HNLP&MD
Lost my balance whilst the seller was here. Stumbled into the amp and cab and near sent it flying. Seller came to the rescue. Embarrassing.
