Interesting to see Homme's TCV boards and amps, I've heard he guards his rigs very secretly.
If you look at the background of that picture, the angle of the pedalboard leads me to believe that the amps are not in full view of the audience but rather on the right sight of the stage facing outwards towards the guitar tech. Awesome to see the old SUPER FUZZ getting some use too

Nah, the boards were put behind the backline after they soundchecked, so that the support band had room to set up. Amps were just set up in a regular configuration straight across the stage.
Homme does have a reputation for guarding his set-up. I was aware of this, so I deliberately avoided Josh's tech and asked another crew member if it was ok to take some photos of the gear, and waited until they had all left before I photographed the boards I'm a member of another gear page, and they couldn't believe that I got those photos, ha ha.

Nice work!
There's nothing sexier on this earth than a roadcase gunrack filled with half a dozen beat up guitars. Well, maybe Christina Hendricks...

Impeccable taste in both guitars and women as per usual, Monsieur Grits

fuck that's tasty. Would be interesting to know what those amps are. Guessing it's all different to the Kyuss/QOTSA setups, I heard he used bass cabs for Kyuss for the bottom end or something

Definitely looks like he's using an Ampeg 2x10 (or 2x12?) bass cab in that pic. His 'secret weapon' for QOTSA for a long time was the Ampeg VT-22 amp. Very very heavy. It's also available in head form as the 'V4' model.
Already knew he uses a vintage Gibson amp on the road -- he mentioned it specifically in an interview, and how it pisses off a lot of people, but his attitude is somewhat "It's an amp, so I'm going to use it for amping."

On the left is a Checkmate 25 running through an Ampeg 2x10. The Checkmate series was manufactured by Teisco in the 60's. On the right is a 1930's Gibson EH-250, running through another extension cabinet that I don't know the make of.
brilliant follow on from the good capt post..........
to the OP...I think you miss understand this thread, it's call "show us YER gear" not show us some one else's gear ..... just joking, very cool job you must have
