but end of the day - they're just REALLY REALLY overpriced for what you get (at RRP)
you can get the same quality for half the price from most other manufacturers.
That red quilted finish is sexy though.
Are they more overpriced than PRS?
yes - they actually are, haha.
even the most plainest looking model Suhr ie, generic strat style Suhr (I looked into gettin a suhr before I got my PRS) was asking like $4000 USD for a standard Burst Alder/maple/rosewood guitar.
PRS are stupidly priced - that being said, I didn't pay anywhere near what my guitar was "worth".
and RE: Angry ed's question (lol) - Yes I have played a Suhr before, it was nice, but not really what i thought was as nice or even worth it's price tag.
Maton, Chapman - (your favourite Ed), even some Mexican Fender builds have some fantastic build quality. Even the PRS SE and S2 lineup are FANTASTIC build and finishes and tone for a super well priced guitar.
Heck maybe i see the good in the cheaper (dollar) guitars. - the only Reason i paid too much(still) for my PRS is because it's the exact model PRS I've wanted since I was in School.
My dig isn't at your crazy nice red guitar with the arguably ugly headstock - which i actually don't mind

, but at the fact that off the shelf, the quality of build and price for a plain old Suhr tele/strat/superstrat is nearly laughable at the asking price.
