Thanks!

Gorilla Warfare is an excellent drive/distortion, but I am selling mine. I've sorta found "my sound" and it's all about low gain OD, chorus, delay and the occasional blast of fuzz into a pretty hot amp. I've just found that is my happy place, especially as the 335 tends to be a bit of an asshole with heavy drive tones.

My mate (who I play with in several bands) has a GW and swears by it as the best drive he owns, and he has the craziest pedalboard I've had the pleasure of using. I'll try find a pic.

I've used it on bass (in one loop of the EQ2 actually) and would keep it for that, but only if I was running a clean/dirty setup and that's just not happening right now.

I keep coming back to this combo for my gigging board. The Silverpistol fuzz and boost are perfect, and the cheap xvive delay does the job nicely for the odd bit of slap echo (only complaint is that the time knob is super easy to bump off the optimum setting so I have to reset it every time I move the board). The OD changes fairly frequently, partly for amp changes, and partly because it’s hard to find one with the right character (a little mid emphasis, but retaining clear low end). Hotcake is pretty cool for now, but I’ll likely try to find something else.

I’d kinda like to try some of the cheap and cheerful drive options out there.

Can't recommend the DemonFX stuff enough, have owned most of theirs, great clones of boutique and other drives!

Take it off, replace it with a smaller knob?

Duct tape, dear boy, duct tape. Or remove the knob altogether and mark the shaft.

The second thing is what I’ve been doing.
