Is this what you sold all your gear for? Are firebirds the Nu SGs? :P

I played a Gibson Firebird the other day, was alright, not a fan of the shape though. Not LP enough:P

Nice. You can't beat a 335.

The tokais are almost as expensive as the Gibsons

Not quite, but stil dear (over two grand for that one) but tyhat 335 is soooo cool. I miss her already!

I've only played one gibson firebird before, and it sounded to me kinda like an SG, but with the volume rolled back. They're cool cause they're big, on ya scarecrow! how you enjoying my twang machine?

So why did you sell it? They are hard to get cheap.

I got my eye on this puppy. A nice Customshop that needs a home. 8)

Having too many un-ideal guitars was staining me. I want one really really really sexual one.

Oooooo, most nice indeed! I gotta tell you though, I wish that they put the block inlays on the cheaper reissues. The dot neck is cool, but I crave big slabs of pearl

Not all my gear, just the SG Special - felt I didn't need two of the same. And i figured a Firebird was as anti-nu as it got. Plus, mini-humbuckers are friggin' amazing. Clarity of single coil, punch of a hummie.

Damn, there are some gear sluts on this forum!!

Desperately selling off gear willy nilly, ostensibly for car repairs and mortgage payments only to show up with some other flavour of tokarama...

Slash-ed is a collector by comparison!!

Would you believe the Tokai plays and sounds better? Proof again that it's a real competitor for Gibby..

The tone is similar, but different all at once.

The Delta Tone is to be sold, I think. It's good, but I'm a humbucker fan I think. It loves my clean channel, but considering I play on the dirty one most of the time, it's not a well-fitted shoe. Plus, I need to recoup costs on today's impulsive purchase, as well as figure out where to get a JCM 800 head or combo for cheapish.
