Just finished this last weekend. Mahogany body (neck pocket and pickups routed by Ash), Allparts neck, hand carved top, Rio Grande Jazzbar and Bluesbar p-90s, 1meg vol pot, Grover tuners and a whopping great shiny Bigsby b70. The pickups are awesome- send a twin into beautiful creamy overdrive and the bridge in particular snarls like a dog. Sounds a wee bit like a Tele on 'roids or P.

my guitar nearly looks like that. It's a manix and the v is a little more even. Different pickups, still humbuckers and the neck is not painted black :D

The New Years resolution is failing badly.

I've fallen in love with those old Supros. The pickups look like a humbucker but are actually a really hot mofo of a singlecoil.

I couldn't resist this poor old Supro made 1961 Airline in need of love . Actually I got it for a steal price. And I have a bridge for it :)

Eastwood makes replicas of these.

That's a very cool old thing. Where'd you find it? In NZ or overseas?

In the US of A badly advertised on ebay. US only as well so it's on its way to a friend in Kentucky who'll take the neck off and send it to me :) Fingers crossed there won't be too much work to do on it.

I like it! It reminds me of transformers or something. Or maybe a rocket. Neat find.

Finally downsized

Post by Rog »

After a bit of will I/won't I? malarkey, I finally downsized - one guitar, one lead, one amp stand and one amp - all Fender - no pedals, other than the one which comes with the amp. Not even a guitar stand. I've put all of the rest of my gear in storage in case I change my mind at some time.. it has been known to happen! :)

Now, how do ya do that Dm chord again?
