Strat/ Badger18/ Pedaltrain Mini

Just got the pedaltrain mini off Ryan @ CAB yesterday. Left to right: Effects loop interface, MXR Carbon Copy, Suhr Koko Boost, BJFE Sea Blue EQ, Peterson Strobostomp. The loop interface lets me switch a 50k attenuator volume pot in and out of the circuit, thereby letting me toggle between two volume levels. Very handy when for going between softer rhythm and obnoxiously loud solo levels  The Koko Boost has a fullrange boost on one side and a high mid boost on the other, which is great for getting parts to slice through the mix. The SBEQ on the other hand is a low mid boost which is great for adding thick fatness to solos when needed. I also planned to put my Fulltone OCD on the board, but Zorran is using it on tour at the moment.

The Badger 18 is the perfect level for club gigs, perched on a stool and mic'd. I actually have soundmen asking me to turn UP for a change : ) The Badger 1x12 is probably the biggest sounding cab of it's size that I've played, I never find myself wishing for a bigger cab. For slightly bigger venues I use the Matamp 2x12 semi open back cab I got from Ryan a few years ago. Both cabs are loaded with Celestion Vintage 30s.

I've had this strat for twelve years now, and there's nothing left from the original guitar except the neck and body wood. The ultimate hot rod strat in my book 8)

I gotta mention - this is a really neighbour friendly setup as well. The 3am tones are big and full too : )

Dunno, the Pedaltrain logo's in the front - besides, that rail would get in the way every time I went to footswitch : )

Thanks guys, it's been a work in progress over a few months of gigging. I reckon the pedaltrain will save me a good 30 mins setup on each gig now that everything's hooked up. All that's left is a sturdy power supply like the TRex Fuel tank Jr (or Dunlop Power Brick). I'm using a Boss PSA 9V wallwart for now, but I'd like to have the SBEQ (and later the OCD) running at 18V - big increase in headroom, I've found.
