NGD - ESP LTD SC-607B

Post by sirvill »

Popped up to Napier to pick up my new ESP LTD SC-607B on the weekend.

Image

27" scale 7 string, EMG 81-7 pickups, locking tuners... its pretty amazing.

Picked it up off Trademe for $560, which is the deal of the century. Had my eye on a 7 string but wasn't actively looking, but this was too good a deal to pass up, and I'm so glad I nabbed it as it plays like butter.

Nice one man, I had a SC-608B, seriously nice guitars :)
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Yeah definitely - its my first guitar with EMGs and I didn't know what to expect, but for metal-type tones they really do the business.

Has it been 18v converted? Makes a small, but appreciable difference, just opens up the dynamics a bit more.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands on fishing equipment he'll use for a bit, then get bored and move onto something else.

It's a really simple mod, plenty of detail on the internet and you can even get cheap harnesses off ebay to help with the connectivity. Only issue is finding somewhere for the additional battery.

I've owned quite a few 7 strings with the EMGs, and even though I was too lazy to do it myself, I played a couple with the mod done. It's definitely worth doing.

PS it's damn good to see another 7 string here for a change!
