Weird. Looks like a dark cherry burst, but maybe that's just me.

Looks a bit like the heritage burst, similar to mine. Its darker when not in full sunlight.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Quite hard to photograph the back, ended up taking it right out of the sunlight as there was too much glare and reflectionMiniForklift wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 8:12 am I'll try to get a photo of the back later as even that's pretty

Re: NGD... this is why my Tokai is FS
Is there's anyone in NZ that does the equivalent of what Historic Makeovers do? I'd love to have this guitar as my daily player but as it is right now it's a bit too new looking and unmarked. I'd quite like to have it 'aged' so that I'm less precious about it and I can just play the thing without fear of putting a mark on it
Wouldn't be looking for anything too over the top, just something along the lines of that one above

For a thousand bucks I'll tie it to the back of my car and drive it down a gravel road for half an hour?

My personal view, just stop being precious, and play it. The above seems so bizarre to me - "I'm too scared to mark my guitar, so I'll pay $$ to someone else to mark it, so that I won't be too scared to mark it." Either way it's marked, but someone else has your cash!MiniForklift wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 8:23 am Is there's anyone in NZ that does the equivalent of what Historic Makeovers do? (I do kinda get it, I recall the devastation of the first dent on my shiny SG. But a couple more dents later, I still love her.)

You’re right of course, I think it’s more like I have to decide between keeping it as a ‘case queen’ and just stow it away and play my others, or come to terms that it’s going to get marked, dinged etc and start playing itHackSaw wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 8:49 am My personal view, just stop being precious, and play it. There must be irony in that there’s a problem with it being too pristine haha

That's really distinct flame; you'd never be in any doubt it was yours.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Just realised this one is a Standard Plus. Even in low light the top still pops

Re: NGD... this is why my Tokai is FS
If anyone is interested in this feel free to flick me a PM, either this one or the Tokai needs to go; would rather keep this one but selling the Tokai is surprisingly slow especially considering the recent interest and surge in Lester sales
