Picked up an LP trad 2017 off trademe in the weekend. It was commented on here, I realise some folks don’t like cherry burst, but I dig it, looks way better in real life than photos I admit. Also lack of flame might be an issue for some, but I much prefer plain. Absolutely stoked and can’t wait till I bring the Marshall Sv20 up from CHCH, going by LP into super lead / plexi patches on the axe fx it is going to be epic!

Second to show off is an Epiphone Casino, 2004 peerless I grabbed off ishibasi. Cool af, but lacking in the tone department, so ordered fralins and a new harness and now it’s fantastic!

Family photo while I’m at it too…

Happy NGD. Nice dark rosewood on the Trad.

What was the Casino missing in the tone department?

I’m not the best at describing such things, I’d go with dull and uninspired? The new pickups and harness give a bite in the bridge, and a clarity in the neck that weren’t there before.

How do you find the Isbell Tele? Been tempted with them.

Best Tele ever. And since Teles are the best guitars ever…

They look great, neck is fantastic, pickups are pure rockin’ in the bridge and singin’ in the neck.

Only thing is that Fender roadworn relic which is a bit naff. But in the end love that I don’t have to baby it and any new scratches are relic enhancements!

Cheers. Relics give me the sh#ts, but this one is subtle enough. The one Mexi I’m tempted by. They look great with a white guard too.

Piece of P!ss. Shipping was costly, but I still got a Korean made proper size Casino for the same price as the current casino coupes with laurel or whatever fingerboard in RS.

Definitely prefer the blackguard myself, reckon a tort would look mean too, but happy as it is.

Did they pack it safely?

May I ask roughly how much shipping was? I've been quoted so many different prices through their site...

Nice collection, I've always loved the Vox's in blue.

Shipping was around $300 at today’s fx. I honestly can’t remember the details of how it was packed, but certainly don’t have any memories of thinking it was below expectations. I’d happily buy from them again, eyeing up a Rickenbacker 330.
