If you don't get the Gallotone (which is GUARANTEED not to split) then dude, you should pick this up: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =152829077
just to add it to your already lovely SC.

And hey, is that cat missing a head?? Are you sure it isn't just a very large dust bunny?

im missing out on some cruel inside joke, arent i?

Rog, i got tired of playing the electric a few years back (5-6 yrs ago?) and sold all my gear...which include a Dr. Z carmen ghia and a 10 top McCarthy. never looked back, to be honest.

othe acoustics i have imported and returned include an Olson, a Froggy Bottom, a few Ryans and a few more classical guitars from the states. I kinda got attached with this one, plus it was a bloody good deal (paid half price as i was talking directly with the co-owner of SCGC). if you ask me, acoustics dont get much better past the $8k mark.

yes, im an ex gear whore.

LOL - you bet!!

Its that ongoing Gallotone saga on TM. I think after it was 'bequeathed to him in an estate', he originally wanted about 4 million bux, 'cos John Lennon used to play one before he could afford a guitar. The combined wisdom of this forum is that its worth $10, just so it could be set afire in the interests of humanity....

Stick around - you'll catch up on the inside jokes etc.

The important ones to remember are that Creed sux and Ovations are for non-hetrosexuals

He's got a few more of those nifty estate guitars on there now. Death is obviously a booming business for some.

You sent a Froggy back?? Wow. What didn't you like about it? It's on my bucket list of parlor sized guitars I want to someday play. Right up there with the SC parlor on my previous link and a Martin 00. Notice I didn't say own. I think I did pretty well to get a Larrivee so I'm happy now. Pretty much. Really. :D

Edit: WAIT, I just reread your post...you got your SCfor HALF PRICE?? You lucky devil you!!

lolz at the lennon guitar scam. what a numbnut.

anyway... you like parlour guitars aye? the froggy was alright... the one i brought in was your standard run-off-the-mill H12 adi spruce/EIR. strong fundamentals without OTT overtones. it was very nice alright, but in all fairness it wasnt quite what I was willing to pay for.

I havent played an SC 00 before, but ive been told its not very diferent to the 000. its meant to be a more intimate guitar, or thats how they are advertised as. the bigger brother has, well, bigger volume and enhanced projection. the 000 is a tiny cannon, it could easily drown a factory dread mate. with better highs, of course!

one thing i always watch out about smallbodies are how focused, as opposed to being open, their projections are.

in the end of the day, theyre just guitars to me. just something to get me through the winters down here.

wow! which Larry do you currently play? ive always wanted to A/B one of them.
