Haha! This summarises my views on it.

Aren't Coheed doing 5 albums all part of the same story? Pretty intense...

RUSH have had a few, and if you listen to them you'll discover where Dream Theater got so many of their ideas, riffs... drum tone.. *runs for cover*

Mars Volta - Deloused in the comatorium is great. Really like The Wall and DSOTM

I have these two great stories that I always thought would make great movies, but since I know nothing about movies, I'm thinking that they would make great concept albums. I'll get around to it one day...
If memory serves, weren't there rumours (back in 'the day') of that one being made into a movie, with ever-since rumour of masses of footage lying around somewhere. (I've seen the footage for "The Hare....(etc)", but that's the only bit I'm aware of being shot.)

And Mars Volta's 'Frances the Mute' is a concept album too I think.
this.

Pretty sure all of TMV's albums are concepts, I know the first 3 definitely were.

And +infinity to the Empyrean

Something like that. They did a tour playing just that album as a kind of stage show with The Hare film played as an intermission.

Other parts of the show are also there on Youtube.

Just realised the coincidence.

Got some songs (and further song ideas) that just happen to have similar themes running through them. I've been thinking I might try and arrange them into an EP-length "concept album", with fancy cover etc to boot (sort of telling a story).
Yep, blame JT for that idea, lol.

I wrote one once.

It was recorded live, the only time we ever played it the whole way through.

It has some mistakes in it.

It is also a silent movie soundtrack.

It's sitting on my hard drive waiting for my website to get fixed so I can send out copies to people on the mailing list.

Michelle says it's really a rock opera.
