http://fawm.org/ Is anyone else doing this? Starts tomorrow.
Great excuse to use my new pedals and electric guitar. All going well I'll have enough songs I like at the end of it to release a small EP. If the songwriting gods strike, maybe an album.

Re: FAWM
I finally got around to writing the first song. Looks like it's going to be February (and March) Album Writing Month for me. This one's fairly rough. The first few usually are before I get into the swing of things again. Don't expect anything amazing from the recording. Did it in a couple of hours. It's a rough demo. Enough excuses though:
Hide Your Teeth
Just smile he said
As if she deserved some attention
Her insecurities put that to bed
A pillow of lies and an aching surprise
The hurt she was trying to hide
Sat wet in her eyes
Hide your teeth
Just cry on the
Inside
Hide your teeth
Don’t let them see
You smile
Throat caught in fear
Bedroom thumps like a dance floor
Nowhere to go and so grin and bear
Empty and aching and desperately faking
But the body betrays
Heartaching pain
One little squeeze
All of the world turning black now
Pain and then panic and then finally peace
Finally free
Don’t let them see
Hide Your Teeth
Just smile he said
As if she deserved some attention
Her insecurities put that to bed
A pillow of lies and an aching surprise
The hurt she was trying to hide
Sat wet in her eyes
Hide your teeth
Just cry on the
Inside
Hide your teeth
Don’t let them see
You smile
Throat caught in fear
Bedroom thumps like a dance floor
Nowhere to go and so grin and bear
Empty and aching and desperately faking
But the body betrays
Heartaching pain
One little squeeze
All of the world turning black now
Pain and then panic and then finally peace
Finally free
Don’t let them see

Re: FAWM
Very cool man, I've done nothing, too tied up with writing for the band and practicing for our big gig tomorrow night
