Does anybody know what time they'll be on? I don't want to have to sit through all the crap to see them.

Is it just me, or is Spinal Tap a copy of Bad News for an American audience? :?

Both Bad News and Spinal Tap films were in production at the same time apparently - but yes, This is Spinal Tap was directed more towards the mainstream American audience. Bad News was a little more obscure and true to the Comic Strip brand of British alternative comedy.

I love both films :)

for a bit of rough history of the tap...they released sinlges/ep /Lp as far back as 1967!!!!!!!(http://www.spinaltapfan.com/articles/albums.html) not totally sure how "serious" of a band they were back then, but bad news only released a couple of albums in the early 80's(?).....I think the bad news movie came out a few months before "this is spinal tap" ...its funny, as a teenager I remember seeing the bad news movie and a mate saying oh thats like this is spinal tap and I always thought the tap movie was heaps older......

I read that james kirk and robert joined the tap on stage at live earth so i will have to try and find it on the coverage that c4 did...it may take a while though 22hrs of recording to plow through

yep that was the one :) I went every year for about 12 or 13 years, a bit like the Big Day Out over here only with proper bands and music

WASP were great, saw them a couple of times. I'm not the worlds biggest Metallica fan so I have the feeling I was in the beer tent. Anthrax were cool, Dio was fantastic and despite my reservations I really enjoyed Bon Jovi, Sambora's playing was great live. I don't think they should have been headlining though
