Hey Kirtiz, I sent you a PM so check it out. I started learning with a hardtail, then bought another hardtail, then bought a trem, now I'm back to a hardtail. I found when I got my trem guitar all I did was use it to make funny noises and not play properly. Since then I've put it away and only use it for Dave Gilmour stuff. My 2 cents - if you're learning (to fly, haha funny DG joke!!), a hardtail is better.
SELLING - Schecter C1 Classic

or locking the 'tremol-no' ;)
- or bending the string a bit more, and bending the 'unbent' note as well, just enough that it's in tune - that's always been my workaround.

And no, I haven't broken the Wilk ;)

[quote="slash-ed"]I think that's silly...

Having a whammy available doesn't mean you use that and only that... I play floyded guitars almost exclusively, but I hardly even touch the bar. The skillset you develop playing a whammy-equipped guitar is hardly any different from using a fixed bridge, imo. In terms of basic playing anyway.

some people i've seen tended to get carried away with the whammy when starting out, instead of learning the fundamentals. it was almost like they couldn't leave the bloody thing alone.

in proportion it's great :D ,but when starting out, i'm not so sure.

Poor kirtiz ran screaming to the hills a long time ago, thankfully the 9 pages of opinions here have sorted out any confusion...
:wink:

lol nah im still here, this is good stuff i want all the info i can get :wink:

Truth is I uhh...hmm well I hope you guys dont put an automatic judgement on me when i say this but I used to be a hardcore gamer.

Halo 2 on xbox live. Yeah I was basically the best player in NZ for that game,I went to competitions won money and stuff, people from america and australia knew of me and people i never met knew who i was while playing. But now Halo 3 has came out and its not as fun, so I wanna swap my focus to guitaring.

Basically what Im saying is that i have the dedication to do well at guitaring like I did with halo. I am a total noobie at guitaring, never played one in my life heh...hmm i dont really know where im going with this, just sayin that i wanna learn as much as possible :D and that Im not gonna give up or anything.

anyways thanks for all the help :)

haha nah, basically gaming will be huge in the future but competitive-wise at the moment no game is really good enough for it to grow heaps, thats mainly why I quit. But with guitaring im pretty sure there is no problems like that.

Anyways damn im racking my brain right now tryna think of ways to get $820 asap...does anyone know of anyone that wants to buy a new xbox 360 and halo 3? lol
