Derek Trucks is absolutely mind-blowingly good.
He displays no emotion on stage, because every single feeling is shown in his playing. He's the whole reason I got into slide guitar!
Not only that, but the singer in the Derek Trucks Band is brilliant, such a cool voice!

The other guitarist looks like Hurley from Lost. Looks like the whole band have been hitting the bacon pretty hard

yeah warren is carrying a bit of extra now days........
if you guys can get hold of the allmans dvd "live...at great woods"(i think thats what it called) its awesome.....the dickie betts/warren hayes teaming was a great mix, although derek is definitely a better slide player than warren.........................
P.S. I have always hated SG's they are like the old man "slippers and brown cardy" of guitars

Not really a big SG fan either, although I haven't played many. Can't really say why, just not my bag.

I don't like SGs because of the neck dive, ACDC, and Jack Black.
A while back I was looking for a backup gat and played an SG, and all I could think of was Jack Black in a schoolboy uniform...
Also, the neck dive is even worse on one of those SG shaped basses (EB?)

Yep, that neck dive was kinda severe.

I really like that heavily distorted tone you get from SGs, like all through Weezer's stuff, but the guitar itself is pretty small

I've had the best luck creating those sort of tones with Timi's SG and my old plexi
