Re: Aluminium Guitars
I've always wondered about aluminium necks too... gotta be great for stability and strength etc, but they'd feel funny wouldn't they? Cold hard metal rather than oiled or laquered wood? Hmmm

Re: Aluminium Guitars
I played an aluminium necked Kramer at a shop once when I was a kid. It was out of curosity mainly. All I can remember is the neck felt cold to touch.

Re: Aluminium Guitars
Wouldn't temperature do funny things to it?
I like the innovation but I don't know if I like the tone - clips are rubbish though to be fair.

Re: Aluminium Guitars
Two things have hindered previous aluminium necked guitars (Travis Bean, Peavey, Kramer et al):
~They feel cold to touch
~They have tuning stability problems due to absorbing heat from your hand and from stage-lighting etc.
Maybe these guys have solutions to those probelms.
