Uh, 09 is in the past, man. That was last year.

Yes, I didn't really read the post properly before I made my suggestion. I just saw 'fat neck' and thought LP.

I like the Jazzmaster idea, but I don't really like fat necks anyway.

put it on a JEM body
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Oooh thats really nice Adrian!! 8)

Telemasters have been done quite a bit lately, I like jazzmasters tho', especially the moore / ranaldo ones (surprise surprise) but howsabout having a custom shape design contest on here, winner gets a night of passion with thehenderson or something??

If it was me, I'd make it shaped like Jack White's airline, would look cool with the strat neck and use one of these bridges which I've discovered recently:

Which should be no problem for you to get given its made by Hipshot ;)

An airline style gat is on my long list of builds
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Youre a bad bad man :P Is that 'Art Deco Formica benchtop finish?

Running with that though. Would be cool to see a hum bucker sitting in one of those Tele bridge trays with a hum or possibly better, a P-90 in the neck. THe s/s/s looks like it unbalances that pic a little, prob just me  :)

I must try one of those one day. I was going to make something similar for a highly unusual project to be finished soon, but came up with a better plan.

This "hybrid" idea is appealing. Some more combos I have pondered overnight:

Jazzmaster+Strat = Jaguar (meh)
Jazzmaster+Tele = Telemaster (nice but common lately)
Jazzmaster+Les Paul = One of those Squier things (meh)
Jazzmaster+Les Paul Junior = the black one above (done it)
Jazzmaster+Les Paul Special = starting to get interesting. Especially with 3 P90s and a 5-way switch
Jazzmaster+Firebird = as above but with mini-humbuckers and reverse headstock?
Jazzmaster+RG = HSH and a floyd! No-one would go there, surely.

Strat+Tele = Bender's examples
Strat+RG = boring old superstrat
Strat+LP JR = could be cool
Strat+LP Special = Could also be cool, especially with 3 p90s

Superstrat+Tele
Superstrat+LP Special.....
