What are my chances on finding a............

Post by Jayp08 »

Hi there, just a question, does anyone know where I may find a GIBSON HUMMINGBIRD in New Zealand? Or what are the odds of finding this stunning piece of kit online etc? Other than ebay? Im not sure if there are any other ways I could find one?

THANKS ALL
Jayp

talk to NZRS_Matt on this forum. RockShop are the Gibson peeps in NZ and if they dont have one here already im sure they could very easily bring one in for you (depending on the "tyre kicking" vs. "commited to buy" factor) :)

Music Planet also do Gibson, they get them from the same supplier Rock Shop does, so you could just as easily talk to Polar Bear, who is the new me. Support the sponsor! Getting customer orders for Gibsons can be tricky though as the 'Australasian Distributor' is in Australia, and Gibson doesn't seem to see the need in having a NZ based one, so everything has to be shipped from OZ. That usually means any special orders have to wait till the next bulk order is shipped.

Hey everyone, cheers for the responses, you see my dream is to actually find one of these somewhere, doesnt have to be from a music shop, prefer nz though, but heard that they only made limited numbers of them. So I thought coming on here may have some answers. Id say itd be one heck of a lucky day to stumble on one other than buying direct from a gibson importer!!?

Thanks all
jayp

This auction finished without it selling. You maybe able to contact the seller and see if they still have it?

Hi Jayp,

These guitars aren't limited - they are still a production model. We have a new one in stock at K'Rd Rockshop. RRP = $5,499, but of course I always do deals for forum members. PM me if you're interested.

Cheers and welcome to the forum.

Hummingbirds shouldn't be Maple. Doves are Maple. Hummingbirds are Mahogany.

Sorry, am I doing it wrong Zaulkin?

We already have a banner on the page, and it's common knowledge we do a forum discount as well, I'm sure Jayp can make his own mind up without being bombed from all sides.
