Bone Guitar

Post by Vince »

Sounds better than I thought it would (the guitar is just covered in bone, not made from it) but I wonder how comfortable it would be to hold. I'd never heard of the luthier before, either.

Anyone play his other instruments?

"No animals were harmed in the making of this guitar". Good to know. $5400 seems a bit steep though.

Looks like shit, and sounds even worse! Why did they pick someone with no playing skill to demo it?
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

First guitar made from bone and wood? Guitars have had bone nuts for ages. Ok, so it's a small amount of bone (IB:JB), but it's still bone and wood.

It's art though.
I don't know much about art, but that's shit. I'd rather see a sheep cut in two :(

You would not want to rest your arm on the body, blood everywhere, but maube thats what the artists were going for ...art imitating life with blood and bone. Frets up to the bridge is interesting with scat regard for intonation by the looks. I guess a boner reference would seem pointless here too...yep art all the way.

Hmm... noticed that the frets were all sorts of sizes, never realised that's why the slide was used. Good call!

Guess cavemen had trouble finding straight bones for frets.

Pretty bloody tragic when you consider the beautiful bone carvings these islands have produced in the past.
