I have more of a problem with poor descriptions, peoples' general lack of knowledge about the gear they are selling and bad photography.

Auctions for fenders where MIA, MIM or MIJ isn't specified annoy me a bit, but as for the Gibbo/Epi and Fender/Squier issue both my Epi's came with Gibson USA stickers on the pickups, Gibson written on the truss rod cover and "Epiphone by Gibson" on the label.

Epi and Squier guitars are marketed as "by gibson" and "by Fender" because the Gibson and Fender know the value of their brand and they use it to sell their cheaper range of instruments. Its not hard to understand why the same thing happens when these items are sold on the 2nd hand market.

There are so many more valid things to rant about - eg. how airlines think all men are pedofiles - http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story ... d=10357510 that this thread is a bit of a let down.

I think it should be renamed from "RANT" to "wee niggle" and if you need to go to your happy place because someone mentioned on their trademe auction that their epiphone is also a gibson then you probably need to start taking different meds.

Frankly I'd want my unaccompanied kid to be seated beside a male. If the shit hit the fan he might be able to help him rather than some doris that won't jump down the chute without her natural glow compact

Isn't there a guy in that Natural Glow ad? Not sure he'd be much help.

I agree that this anti-male discrimination is totally unsupportable. I think the airlines need to keep up with current statistics on child abuse before making unsound and highly offensive policies.

its all a bit 'Life of Brian' then really, I don't want a screaming child next to me on a plane - or even on a plane full stop... but I'd like the right to be able to have one next to me ;)

So did the airline tell the kid why the man had been taken away? "sorry kid, you see all men are potential pedophiles"
