Peavey Wolfgang has been my biggest suprise. After gettine over how rerrible they look I finally decided to give one a whirl. Sounds great and feels nice but I've discovered after a couple of jams the edge of the body is kind of uncomfortable for me, digs into my forearm. maybe I'm a wuss but the ol' SG doesn't do this. My year of sitting down and fooling about by myself was very enjoyable though....
Looking at a trade for a tubemeister head now...sever contemplation going on, so I'd best go see this NAMM thread Hamo is talking about.

I've been a member for a while, but never posted. My big surpise was a tele. I'd never liked the shape, and not fan of the tone particularly. Only ever had rosewood necks. Then I stumbled on a too-good-to-refuse price on an 89 MIA tele with one-piece maple neck auction closing at 6am on a Saturday morning. Bought it and it's the only guitar I haven't ending up hating within the year or so. That was years ago, and up till this week, I haven't seriously looked at another elec. Pedals on the other hand...

Surprised GAS for me has been the Washburn N1 I picked up this week. Super playable, light and sounds pretty good both on it's own and with a band. I wasn't expecting much from a relatively cheap guitar, but it has quite impressed me.

You should get Single Coil's N2 then, must be twice as good!

Haha, actually tempting, but I have too many horses in the stable, so to speak.

The Satriani guitar at the start of this thread is half price in our closing down sale, so it's like 2k, just as a heads up for y'all.
