I really like the body shape too, I'm thinking of getting another neck to go on it at this stage. The original bridge was floating so I can but one wherever I want and change the scale length if necessary.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

The pickups are a bit expensive and I only need two, does anyone (ash for example) still do rewinds ?

Cheers, I think they are strat sized so may not fit. I'll have another look at the pickups when I get chance, might be lucky and only need the fly leads re-soldering.

I have a homemade winder... I can't promise to get them near the originals or even decent sounding, but it might be a fun (read: frustrating!) project. PM me if you like.
Too many guitars, not enough talent.

And he wound a 1960 De Armond pup for me a few years back that was spot on to the original sound.

Thanks to "Strummers" I have a new neck for the Burns, its 25.5" scale length which mean I don't have much room for the bridge, I'm think a Mustang bridge may be the way to go. Will have to get some dimensions to check.
