Yeh its a really great little guitar. Was happy noodling away on it last night while watching Archer. Its a very comfortable lap guitar. So light (6lb 12oz - 2.9kg)

I did buy it sight unseen then read it had a 'slim taper' neck. Was initally a bit worried it would be a pipe cleaner. But im pleasantly surprised. the neck is nice and substantial.

It needed a decent turn on the truss as had excessive relief. Truss turns nice and smoothly. Ben had warned me about the tilt issue on the wrap around bridge. Id considered ordering some tone pro posts but settled on a washer remedy.

Removing tape after fret polishing
You can see the fretboard has nice grain to it.
One negative is the slightly rough factory job on the binding between each fret/nib. alot of file marks. Does anyone bother with this? I guess a careful razor blade scraping would sort it out.

Mine is also a ‘19, and yeah lots of file marks and rough finishing, particularly higher up. But when rocking out I don’t notice or care, it doesn’t change the sound, the feel or anything. Maybe we both got the trainee on the line that day!

What’s the bridge tilt thing? I’ve never noticed anything like that, shows how observant/knowledgable I am.

the way the wrap around bridge articulates with the posts there is a enough gap so that the back of the bridge pulls up under tension creating a small angle. Not sure how problematic it is but apparently can inerfere with set up and intonation.

Yehyoure right you dont notice the binding marks unless you are scrutinizing the guitar. But they stand out purely becase the rest of the guitar is so nicely finished.

Wicked, love me some P90s, would have snapped that up if I’d seen it for sale!

Thanks, yeah had a wee look and see that mine does tilt that slight amount. I’ve always been surprised by how well it intonates, so I guess it’s okay. Although that might be more to do with the loose tolerances of my ears!

Agreed the filing stands out, I’d put mine in the Gibson Shocker thread, it’s quite bad and makes me wish whoever did my ‘13 standard was on the line. But, I got over it. P90s into a Marshall get me over a lot of things!
