In general we all worry too much about the guitars we play. Give Jimi Hendrix or Joe Bonamassa a Squire or an Epi and they will (would have) still smoked all of us.

Most of us won't admit it but the badge on the headstock is important to us, far more important than it ever should be. Damn Johnny Walker is talking again

So what does Johnny Walker play?

I just don't think you'll put money on it, and I've tried many tokai's and I've tried many gibsons. They each have their worth.

check out the Tokai LS540, its very expensive. I expect its very good too.

I just don't think you'll put money on it, and I've tried many tokai's and I've tried many gibsons. They each have their worth.

Your right they are different but I'm betting an LS540 is just as good as a VOS in terms of quality and I bet you could buy it unseen and not have to worry about it being a lemon. If I had the choice and the money I would probably buy the Gibson as its resale would be higher and I'm just as gullible to the marketing and history as everyone else at the end of the day.

what about the MIC tokais? i guess for half the price of their epi counterparts you cant go wrong

my MIC tokai is better feel and construction wise than all the epi's I have played......mine is basswood which most of the corksniffers hate, but as a "shred guy" (I wish) it suits me down to the ground
