I must say the masking tape on both surfaces and super glue between works excellently for holding the template in place, was not expecting it to work as well!!

For those interested, I'm using a 1/2" wide x 20mm deep top bearing flush cut router bit to do the outline and then finishing the corners with a 1/4" bit to get the radius a bit tighter to fit the pickup
