Artist LesPaul 59 , the cheaper Artist LP.
$227 !!!
for a $200 gat, its great .
Cheaper because it was 'damaged' .Damage being the bridge pickup doesnt work. So i took a punt on it . Cant be hard to fix , at the very worst will cost $50 for a replacement pickup . Im hoping its a wiring issue .
Slightly bright sound , so Id be happy to keep using the neck pickup . Maybee better string will change that ?
String height is good . Minor fret buzz that shouid be fixed with truss rod adjustment , but fully playable as is .
I think the Glossy finish actually makes it look cheap for some reason .
Photo is from their website, but thats exactly how it looks

Having bought a number of artist guitars they all come with strings that need to go straight in the bin, I've had weird tinny buzzy sounds out of the unwound strings that were instantly fixed by a new set, the wiring I usually redo as well, I've had two come with poor solder connections that gave intermittent faults, pretty easy fixes though, any active electronics go straight in the bin too and usually a set of decent tuning machines thrown on and setting the pickup height right and they're great playing and sounding guitars!
How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...

Its been a long long time since I bought guitar strings
Cheers

I find some brands a bit bright out of the packet but they settle down fairly quickly, Elixirs were always less bright out of the packet and stayed consistent, plus they last forever!

That Westone Spectrum ST on Trademe for $300 in the original case is a great guitar for that money. Made at Matsumoku factory in the 80s, all original by the looks of things. The pickups are weak (6k dcr each) but theyre really well made guitars.

That caught my eye, some good stuff for that price.
