Ah, right. Not that I have anything against the gear merry-go-round, of course. How else would I get nice gear around here.

No, it's more Gibson setting very high prices. Look around the world and there's not a huge discrepancy in Gibson prices outside of USA.

Gibson screws everybody.

Gibson have upped their prices in the last few years as we've seen however they sell all they produce plus refine and discontinue etc those guitars that aren't meeting their expected sale numbers year by year. To say they screw the consumer is naive I think, people have the choice to either buy their guitars or otherwise.
Doin' that scrapyard thing.

You dudes may think this is a shocker but I really like this model. Never heard of it but this colour combo (red with black binding) is cool. Pity the side is not red. Also like the pickup combo.

Still one of the few manufacturers that brand new, you need to do a refret.

There's plenty of bad juju re Ricky's on the web. High prices, average quality, poor back-up if there's an issue. Their arrogance is well documented. They really don't give a shit.

They sound cool though. :winky:

My suggestion is, let someone else deal with all that, buy secondhand, refret, and live long and prosper.

I'm shocked at the price they're asking for a modded one. Then again I don't know the market.
