Im currently VERY conflicted. I want to buy a "motorcycle" should i sell a "guitar" I really love to buy said "motorcycle" or should i wait it out and save up like a grown up?

*when reading anything in quotation marks, raise your hands in the air and do the air quotes.

If you want a bike, sell all your gear, 'cos the odds are that you'll be dead or severely injured pretty soon and you won't be able to play the guitar anyway.

When I used to ride motorbikes, that's pretty much what I was told. I was a 'temporary kiwi' to most people, especially since I was a hoon anyway. I'm still around.

Thanks to Modern Family, I prefer to think of them as Air Bunnies.

As a general rule, when you save up for something big an unexpected expense will come along and swipe your savings. :?

Given how difficult it is to sell gear, unless you're willing to practically give it away, you may as well start saving.

Was trying to make a tenuous joke about gear being slang for drugs, but it just wouldn't come.

I can't help but point out that the quotation marks have absolutely no relevance here, since you're ACTUALLY looking at buying a motorcycle... not a "motorcycle".

My Bishop's wife (who was a an A&E nurse) always used to say that a motorbike was "the second most dangerous thing between a man's legs"
