Fender colours
Just keeping Unique's Jazzmaster thread on topic.
Sunburst is my fav colour on any Fender. For me, 3T burst needs a tort guard. (2/3 of my Fenders are 3t + tort, remaining 1/3 is v/white + purple mother of toilet seat guard)
Other marques - it doesn't matter 'cos they're really just toys and clones!

Re: 1959 Fender Jazzmaster
but sunburst with the gold guard is the classic look for a JM, and white on sunburst was probably more typical on a strat, so I think you're saying that you don't like the classicsRog wrote:For me, 3T burst needs a tort guard.

Re: 1959 Fender Jazzmaster
Regardless of any such facts, 3TS + shell is THE classic Fender look to me:
The Precision is nitro, the Jazz poly.

Re: 1959 Fender Jazzmaster
Whereas my Am Std Strat is definitely NOT a classic combination. I really don't like vintage white and would happily swap the body for a 3T burst.

At risk of loosing that awesome tone from that Strat? Think carefully Rog....

Re: 1959 Fender Jazzmaster
LOL what I really want is a 3T + tort with a hardtail.
Tone you say? What's that then?
Looking right is more important than sounding cool, surely?

Butterscotch blonde, you can keep your bursts!

That's more common on Telecasters. I'm talking about real guitars....jeremyb wrote:Butterscotch blonde, you can keep your bursts!

only thing that lets the strat down is the white electronic bits...surely aged or vintage covers are the way to go???.......other than that I really like it...a lot
I hate bursts on any guitar generally unless it is almost transparent

Re: Fender colours - split from Jazzmaster thread
Surf green is my fav colour for a strat.
As opposed to Sea Foam green, which I recently found was a different colour. I also love La Cabronita's, so this is awesome!

Nothing to see here.
