I'm interested to know everyone's favourite guitar company/brand.
I'm sure we all have many favourites but what's your all-time go-to guitar brand?
I like a lot of different brands, but my number 1 is Jackson!

mine is Hamer.
small company of about 9 builders making guitars of exceptional quality. through out the 35 years or so they were around they produced 75000 guitars.
many of the guitars had one piece Honduran Mahogany bodies, the early specials and sunbursts had one piece maple tops.
Hamer pick ups and bridges were made in house, the bridges were milled from a single piece of Brass, Larry Dimazio started making pickups for Hamer in his early days.
the guitars were modeled on early Gibson guitars. they cost more than a Gibson to buy and they didn't do artist endorse guitars. peeps like Paul Stanley of Kiss had to pay for there Hamer at an employee discount rate.
to me my Fav brand because Hamer believed in quality.

There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

Rickenbacker. I like very much that rather striving for growth and market share they have stayed small and made extremely high quality instruments just like they always have.
They are so consistent in the product that they make that there isn't a crazy vintage market like Fender and Gibson have.
I was in a guitar store in Paris a year or so back and they had a 1968 and a brand new 330 next to each other. They were the same price and sounded almost identical. Try that test with two Gibsons!

As for myself, there isnt a single guitar manufacturer where I like even the majority of their range, let alone all of them. Just bits and pieces here and there. Although I'd like to give Reverend Guitars an honourable mention for what they offer at their price point.

For some unknown reason I had an aversion to BC Rich guitars as a kid, yet now I really rate them. They had a period of making well-spec'd, good quality instruments in Korea that were just great bang-for-buck bargains (I have two). They lost it when production went to China, sadly.
They also have made some high-end and custom shop beauties that would stand up well with the top end of the range of Gibson, PRS and the like, but because, thanks to a strong association with the 80's hair and thrash metal scene, they seem to be a bit tainted with the impression they aren't a serious brand. At least that keeps the prices semi-realistic, I guess.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll spend thousands on fishing equipment he'll use for a bit, then get bored and move onto something else.
