If its insured, it really should be treated like the Bledisloe Cup lol.
The shipping terms state that items should be packed in the same materials the item shipped in originally ( or equivalent ) I believe.
Otherwise it wont meet the insurance requirements. Trust me, they will determinedly avoid paying out....

From repeated experience of the courier compacting machine, this would seem to be the only remaining option.

You'd think, but last time I moved to the UK, they lost my shipping container.

Mine had been delivered to the depot, they just didn't know where they'd put it. They're quite small and easy to misplace...

Is there any reason why Kiwis can't use Ebay to buy overseas items?

No, aslong as the seller is willing to ship here
Also make sure you allow for paying customs fees etc. when it gets here.

Cheers. Ebay closed my account for no reason, all I can thin of is I hadnt used it in 15+ years. But living in Aus and Europe I never realised how lucky I was until I returned to NZ and found TM (quite a small pool of products) ;-p.

Was just a $400 80s hair metal axe I was looking at so shouldnt have any duty or tax. I just didnt know if NZ was banned due to having TM or something, so thats good to know. I find Reverb a bit hit or miss.
