Badlands Guitar Company
Youtubers The Tone King and Philip McKnight start a guitar company, good grief.

Re: Badlands Guitar Company
Phil knows his stuff about guitars. He apparently knows less about design.

Not playing the link, but from the screenshot it looks like we've gone back to the eighties, and not in a good way.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Depends on how much credibility you had in the 80's. I had very little, so I love the guitar.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

I watched about thirty seconds and heard the words 'authentic eighties' about four times.
Shit when my era becomes retro.

"Vintage" now.

Re: Badlands Guitar Company
I think about it when I'm driving the kids somewhere, and Led Zep or similar comes up in my playlist, and I wonder what they think about it.
Having similar thoughts watching Tim Burton's Batman movies, and how they try to skew away from the campy TV shows, then the following 90s ones just skew right back around to them. The biggest advantage that Chris Nolan had was that a large part of his audience had no real knowledge of the Adam West Batman, so he was unencumbered by it.

I dont think I am in their target demographic but even if I were, why would I not just hunt out an original Kramer, Hamer, Guild, Ibanez or Schecter or whatever ? But i loved all the marketing speak in the most droll unexcited voiceover ever.....

Re: Badlands Guitar Company
I have an 80's Charvel, it isn't great. Guitar building and quality control have improved massively since I was a CC DeVille fanboy.
