Flatties in da house

Put a set of flatwound 12-52's on my Tele today.

Slightly less twang factor but it thunks like a mofo.. :thumbup:

I’m down to just one Bass with rounds , flats rule the roost here.

I imagine Flats could be a Tele tamer in some ways

Learn me please. Do flats mellow out the sharpness of the bridge pickup?

To a certain extent. This particular guitar is inherently bright and has retained much of it despite the flats. However the bridge pu has never been an issue. Clean at low volume requires some tone back off but cranked it transforms into a real rock machine.
I was seeking that spaghetti western bottom string thud and they have certainly delivered.
